Meet Our Team

Mark Lichty, Founder

Over the course of serving in ministry for the majority of my adult life, I have come to realize that the most productive times in ministry have come during the process of mentoring others. In the summer of 2009, after reading Neil Cole's book, Organic Church, Growing Faith Where Life Happens, I knew God was directing me to begin a new chapter in my life, to step out in faith, and to fulfill my dream of discipling students and adults full-time. This was the source of inspiration for what later turned into our non-profit organization, Honi's Coffee House.

I want to fulfill the Great Commission of reaching the world for Christ by building one disciple at a time, with each one of these doing the same every year for the rest of his or her life. Will you join me?

Lauren Stamper, Chief Marketing Officer

I was fortunate enough to have Mark Lichty as both my high school chaplain and my varsity basketball coach at Prestonwood Christian Academy. In my 15 years of knowing him, Mark has always been a man after God's heart who is unafraid to openly love ALL of God's children. When I learned about what he was doing through Honi's Coffee House, I wanted to get involved. My background is in Corporate Sales & Marketing, and I use that skill set to assist this incredible non-profit in growing for the betterment of our local community and for those abroad who don't know how to fight for themselves.

My personal desire is that we will be able to build an army of ambassadors for Honi's Coffee House that can spread the mission and help us achieve our goal of ending physical, emotional and spiritual poverty.

Sara Lichty, Chief Finance Officer

I was introduced to the Lichty family in 2011 by my now husband, Erik. Listening to what Jesus was doing in their lives made me quickly realized there was something different about this family that I wanted more of. Although growing up in a Christian household, it became apparent I did not have this relationship with Jesus they spoke of. The Lord stirred my heart for him and saved me in 2013. I have been overwhelmed by the gift of this family, and the Honi’s ministry. I have a front row seat to watch Mark and Shannon walk in complete obedience to what the Lord has for them. My heart continues to grow in a love for people and my passion is for all people to know and love our Savior, Jesus Christ. The Lord has given me a gift in finance, and has shaped me through my degrees and professional experience which allows me to fully utilize this for the glory of the kingdom. I am excited to see The Lord’s work be done as we are called to pursue the hearts of others.

I first met Mark Lichty when he was my 7th grade football coach at Prestonwood Christian Academy. Over the past 10 years I have had the blessing of being mentored by Mark and learning more about how to walk with Christ in my everyday life. After graduating high school I was fortunate enough to play professional baseball with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees. Mark's infectious personality combined with the positive impact both in our community and abroad in Honduras has lead me to get involved with Honi's Coffee House. In the offseason I help with day to day operations with running the coffee bar as well as facilitating and communicating Honi's strategic initiatives and future goals.

My Honi's journey began during my first international mission trip to Honduras in 2012 when the Lord began opening my eyes to see what it truly means to be a disciple. Fast forward to 2017, during my 8th trip to Honduras the Lord really brought me to my knees and led me to a turning point in my faith. I quit my job in corporate America and decided to submit to my calling to dedicate my life to ministry. Mark has been one of my biggest supporters through every stage of my growth in faith, he has encouraged us to trust the Lord in ways I never have before. Honi's mission is to spread God's love through discipleship locally and internationally and that exactly what the Lord has commissioned me to do full time - I'm honored to get to be a part of it with some of the most faithful people I know.

Mark and I first met when he was my 7th grade football coach. We reconnected my sophomore year of high school when I went to Honduras for the first time and Mark began mentoring and discipling me when we came back from that trip. Over the years to come we’d continue to meet up over a cup of coffee and dive into God’s word. Through this avenue I was able to see Mark’s dream for Honi’s slowly but surely come to fruition. The work God was and is still doing through Honi’s compeled me to get involved. Although my proffesional background is in aviation I have a love for all things tech and have enjoyed helping with building and managing the website and coordinating social media within Honi’s. There is something so powerful about meeting the needs of the community both local and abroad one cup of coffee at a time and I cannot wait to see what God does next.
